Rare Amber Glass Chippendale Pedestal Open Salt Dip
This is a stunning set of amber Chippendale pattern open salt dips! This salt dip is listed as #534 in the collector's guide, "5,000 Open Salts," by William Heacock and Patricia Johnson. The book describes it as Chippendale, circa 1907-20, and rare in amber color. This particular example stands 2" tall at the rim, and measures 3 1/2" in diameter, handle-to-handle. You guys know I LOVE salt dips! They are such a fun piece of history that most people don't even know existed! I have many styles in the shop but these are currently the ONLY ones I have in colored glass and they are so much fun with their little handles and pedestals! This sweet set would make a great addition to your dining table and a great conversation piece with your friends and family! At over 100 years old, these are in AMAZING shape for their age. They have no chips or cracks to the glass. $20 for the set of 2!
